Kalibra Architecture is a design-driven studio based in Madrid (Spain) and Padova (Italy) and  founded by Simone Lorenzon and Valeria Polato, both architects with extensive international experience. The two met while working at the renowned firm Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos, where they collaborated for several years on large-scale cultural and public projects across Europe.

At Kalibra, we are committed to architectural excellence through a deep understanding of place, sustainability, and the people who inhabit our spaces. Our work seeks a careful balance—kalibra—between design quality, environmental responsibility, and the specific needs of each client and context. We believe that meaningful architecture emerges from dialogue: with the landscape, with materials, with the social and cultural environment.
With an international scope, Kalibra develops projects mainly in Italy and Spain, while remaining open to collaborations across borders. Despite being a young practice, Kalibra has already been recognized with two COAS Architecture Awards for the projects Martina y Madrid and Piedra y Agua, the latter also featured in the architectural journal Tectónica.

Our approach is deeply collaborative: we work hand-in-hand with each client, understanding the creative process as a tailored experience—like a custom-made suit—that adapts to their unique needs and ambitions. This bespoke method is combined with the use of innovative tools and digital technologies, ensuring precision, efficiency, and forward-thinking design solutions.
From early concept to final detail, we approach each project with rigor, creativity, and a strong focus on long-term value. Our goal is to create spaces that are not only beautiful and functional, but also respectful of the planet and enriching for those who experience them
